Topic →Social sustainability

Social sustainability is one of the three overarching dimensions of sustainability. In the broadest sense, it includes social justice for the people who live and act in the context of sport. This includes, first and foremost, the athletes, but also all the people who accompany their sporting activities, support them or make them possible in the first place - for example through the maintenance of sports facilities and the production of sports materials. Thinking about sport from the perspective of the "common good" is the guiding principle here.

We research the big question of the extent to which sport actually serves the well-being of all those involved and develop concepts for truly humane sport.
