Monika Bachinger is a professor at the University of Applied Forest Sciences in Rottenburg. Her research focuses on forest-related recreation, cultural ecosystem services of forests, health effects of forests, and avoidance of recreation-based use conflicts in forests. She has many years of experience in transdisciplinary research and has conducted several consulting projects in cities and rural communities on sustainable tourism and destination development.
