Katrin holds a PhD in sports science, worked at the German Sport University Cologne as a research assistant from 2013 to 2022 and is currently teaching there. In the course of her teaching activities, her work on third-party funded projects ("Sport for Development", Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ), the implementation of university training courses ("Global Learning in Sport", Engagament Global) as well as her own research work, she has dealt intensively with the topics of sport, education and sustainable development. Whether in nationale or international political education, in her own teaching, research or on the sports field - she is convinced of using sport as a tool for achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
