Christian Schneidermeier holds a degree in sports economics and has been the sole Managing Director of Ortovox, a German sporting goods manufacturer specialising in alpine sports based in Taufkirchen near Munich, since 2011.
In addition to his role as Managing Director, Schneidermeier has been Deputy Chairman of the Outdoor specialist group and a member of the board of the Federal Association of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Sportartikel-Industrie (BSI) since November 2020. He has also been an honorary member of the Corporate Responsibility Committee of the Munich and Upper Bavaria Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) since 2018 and has been a member of the IHK General Assembly since 2021.
Schneidermeier is a passionate mountaineer and ski tourer. Schneidermeier also has a special interest in everything to do with sustainability and social development because of his own children. He describes himself as a committed European.
