Lavinia Muth

M.A. International Business Administration (Business Ethics)

Lavinia has 15 years of experience in the field of sustainability in the global textile industry and agriculture, having previously worked in compliance and auditing. She has faced her own challenges and recognised the limitations of the traditional approach to sustainability. In her years advising textile factories, fashion brands and retailers around the world, Lavinia also experienced the pitfalls of what she calls "Stewardship Superiority". In her personal journey, Lavinia has recognised the importance of social justice and environmental justice and has embarked on a journey of challenging power structures and understanding post-growth in the context of sustainability. In her last permanent position, she managed sustainability at the German fashion label ARMEDANGELS for 5 years. Today she works as a freelancer and dedicates herself to various projects that address social justice issues in the textile sector while contributing to the efforts of decarbonisation, circular economy and materiality for carefully selected clients.
