The development of sport-related concepts in popular, health and competitive sport has become a focus for him over the last 30 years, in addition to shaping the necessary political framework at national and international level. He implements this in his various roles - as Managing Director of University Sport Hamburg, as Chairman of the Board of the General University Sports Association (adh), as Vice President of the European University Sport Association (EUSA), as a lecturer at Wismar University of Applied Sciences (WINGs), as a trainer in the club. As a trained interior decorator, however, he had the opportunity to deal with sustainability issues very early in his professional life, especially when restoring old furniture. This obviously left its mark on him.
